Where to Eat Off Quinta Avenida

Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) is lined with tourist-priced restaurants. For better food at local prices, walk a few blocks inland into Colonia Centro, where neighborhood taquerías and fondas serve the real thing. As everywhere in Mexico, the busiest stands with local crowds are the safest bet.
